In line with this, Ge\u0302 2019, Emiliana\u2019s biodynamic and organic icon, was selected among the best ten Chilean wines in the latest report on the local wine market by the influential US wine critic James Suckling.<\/p>\n<p>The evaluation of the 100 best national wines highlighted that the first Chilean red certified biodynamic since its debut in 2003 showed the enormous potential of wines based on Syrah and Carmene\u0300re grown in the dry and sunny Mediterranean climate of the Colchagua Valley. It also pointed out that Ge\u0302 is &#8220;one of the smartest buys on the list.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The critic granted Ge\u0302 97 points out of a maximum of 100, stating that it is a &#8220;very bright, juicy red that shows a core of complex flavors with multiple layers of elegance and finesse; a really smooth and long wine, with a vibrant, yet refined finish.&#8221; Suckling recommended &#8220;drinking it now,&#8221; but that consumers &#8220;will benefit from its aging.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>In his latest report on the Chilean wine industry, the expert noted that although the 2020 harvest occurred under high heat, drought, and pandemic, the country did not lose its throne as &#8220;the king of consistency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Suckling made a special mention of Syrah and the Mediterranean varieties, placing them again at the top of this year&#8217;s tastings.<\/p>\n<p>This report has not been the first in which James Suckling has distinguished the organically and biodynamically crafted wines, positioning Emiliana at the forefront of this type of agriculture in the world.
