Coyam, the project’s first organic wine and one of the most recognized brands in its portfolio, was born from this harvest and has had great market success since then, reflecting Emiliana’s evolution over the last 20 years.

– What does it imply to reach these sales figures?

– “It means that the dream has now become a reality. This project, which 20 years ago began its path towards organic, in an industry and a time in which few ventured on it, has not only managed to currently sell 1 million 9-liter cases at US$40 (average price), but is also positioned as one of the 10 largest wineries in the country in the overall ranking”.

– What comes next for Emiliana?

– “Our plan, which we have already designed, is to continue supporting this growth by investing in our wineries and planting new vineyards in the south of Chile. We aim to sustain the already experienced volume growth and, in addition, prepare ourselves better for climate change. In terms of sales, we are focused on the growth of our premium lines and the development of brands that add value to the company.”

Last but not least, Cristián Rodríguez emphasizes that Emiliana has achieved these milestones thanks to all those who are and have been part of this project. “A team that is not cohesive, that does not believe in, and hasn’t got a culture towards organic and qualitative, does not achieve these objectives. Emiliana’s success is related to this and to the commitment and conviction of all its areas that the future is organic.”

“Emiliana was born in 1998 as an organic project when it transformed its vineyards from conventional viticulture (chemical) to organic and biodynamic.
