Triple “Double Gold”: The Great International Triumph of Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana at the Gilbert & Gaillard Awards

14 October 2026

With outstanding “Double Gold” medals, the world's largest organic winery reaffirms its international leadership by winning the top award at the demanding European competition.

Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana reaffirms the excellence of its portfolio in demanding European markets following an outstanding performance at the Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge, the prestigious French-origin competition that annually awards the best wine exponents worldwide through a blind tasting.

The world’s largest organic winery was awarded a total of five high-caliber medals for its organic Reserve and Gran Reserva lines, highlighting the important “Double Gold” category recognition for its Novas Gran Reserva and Adobe Reserva wines.

The highest medal and score of the event went to Novas Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, 2024 vintage, which achieved an excellent 92 points and the Double Gold medal, confirming the consistency and high quality that organic agriculture can achieve in Chilean red wines. Following with 91 points and Double Gold medals were the winery’s white expressions, detailed as follows:

  • Novas Cabernet Sauvignon, D.O. Cachapoal Valley 2024: 92 Points – Double Gold
  • Novas Chardonnay, D.O. Casablanca Valley 2025: 91 Points – Double Gold
  • Adobe Chardonnay 2026: 91 Points – Double Gold
  • Adobe Rosé 2026: Gold Medal
  • Adobe Sauvignon Blanc 2026: Gold Medal
  • Adobe Cabernet Sauvignon 2024 — Silver Medal

The contest organized by the French group Gilbert & Gaillard (founded in 1989 and present in over 25 countries) conducts rigorous blind tastings led by international expert committees.

For Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana, earning these awards not only confirms the winemaking quality achieved by its team, led by Chief Winemaker Emilio Contreras, but also validates its founding commitment on an international level: to prove that organic agriculture, which respects biodiversity and soil life, is not just an environmental commitment, but the definitive path to creating wines of excellence.

On the strategic importance of these results, José Eyzaguirre, Marketing Sub-manager of Viñedos Orgánicos Emiliana, commented: “For us, receiving ‘Double Gold’ medals in a market as demanding and traditional as the French one is a spectacular milestone. These scores for our Gran Reserva and Reserva lines not only reward the exceptional quality consumers find in their glass, but also support our global strategy: proving that it is possible to deliver highly competitive wines while practicing organic agriculture that is responsible toward the environment.”
