Managing Industrial Wastewater
The liquid industrial wastes from the three Viñedos Emiliana S.A. production facilities are centralized for treatment in the system located at the Las Palmeras winery.
The patented CASCADE technology is used to biologically treat the wastewater in four basic stages: The separation of solids, extended aerated storage, sludge decantation, and purification, with a 90–95% efficiency in the breakdown of parameters such as pH, suspended solids, and organic load. This treatment produces a residue that fully complies with the current applicable environmental standards.
