Efficient Energy Use
Energy efficiency and climate change are priority issues at Emiliana, and they are addressed in a variety of ways at our winery to reduce carbon emissions, minimize the impact on the ecosystems, reduce soil degradation, achieve more energy efficiency, and encourage the incorporation of native species within our properties. At Emiliana we use different “green” practices that have a direct benefit for the environment as well as our community.
Some of those practices include:
• Using solar panels to generate hot water.
• Using biofuels in our tractors.
