Viña Emiliana earned top honors at the Tenth Annual Wines of Chile Awards, AWoCA 2013, demonstrating once again the unique excellence of its wines. Emiliana icon wines Gê 2009 and Coyam 2010 were honored with Gold Medals in the Blend Category, while Emiliana Late Harvest 2012, Signos de Origen Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, and Signos de Origen Syrah 2010 each earned Silver Medals.

The judges at the 10th AWoCA included distinguished wine experts from China, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan, as well as Chilean wine critic Patricio Tapia, Master Sommelier Héctor Vergara, and Marcelo Pino, who was named Chile’s Best Sommelier in 2011. Together the panel tasted more than 600 Chilean wines in 16 categories. After three intense days of tastings, the judges awarded 60 Gold, 173 Silver, and 253 Bronze medals.

In the most recent edition of The Wine Advocate, Coyam 2010 earned 91 points out of a possible 100.

Thanks to its very high scores, Emiliana receives new global recognition from one of the most important wine critics in the world.

The panel of experts led by Neal Martin appreciated the tremendous Emiliana’s contributions and organic and biodynamic work in the world’s wine industry and commented that “initiatives such as this one should be applauded.”

Coyam did not stand alone however—the Signos de Origen white blend of Chardonnay, Viognier, Roussanne, and Marsanne 2011 also received 91 points.
