Decanter Awards Four Stars to Emiliana’s Organic Wine

The honor was given to Novas Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot 2007, which was awarded four stars by the prestigious British wine magazine. Two other Emiliana wines—Novas Winemaker’s Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 and Adobe Cabernet Sauvignon 2009—received three stars.

The prestigious British wine magazine Decanter awarded a high score to Emiliana’s Novas Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot 2007, saying the wine was “highly recommended” and giving it a rating of four out of a possible five stars.

These results were announced after a rigorous evaluation of several Chilean Cabernet Sauvignons by a panel of ten foreign experts.

Novas Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot 2007, which is 62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Merlot, stood out for its “‘Confected black fruit with violets and smoke on the nose. Rich style with fresh acidity.”

Two other Emiliana organic wines also received honors: Novas Winemaker’s Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 and Adobe Cabernet Sauvignon 2009. Both were rated with three stars, which means they are “recommended” by the magazine.

These honors are the most recent of a long list of awards earned by Emiliana’s products, which have positioned the company as the world’s foremost organic and biodynamic winery. Indeed, in the September issue of Wine Enthusiast magazine, Emiliana’s icon biodynamic wine Gê was awarded 94 points out of 100 and described as “exceptional”.
