Emiliana Gê selected as Icon wine of the month in “La CAV” Magazine
In the most recent edition of the La CAV (Wine Lovers’ Club) magazine, Viñedos Emiliana’s emblematic wine Gê was selected as the “Icon Wine of the Month.” The magazine’s tasting panel rated the winery’s first biodynamic wine with 92 points.
April 2010 – Gê, the emblematic wine from Viñedos Emiliana has been called one of the best biodynamic wines in the world by national and international press and has once again been singled out for its quality: Chile’s La CAV magazine named it the Icon Wine of the Month for its most recent edition.
Gê, the first certified biodynamic wine in Latin America, aims to reflect the strong relationship between the wine, its place of origin, and the rhythms of the universe. This complex blend of red varietals (30% Syrah, 30% Carménère, 16% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon) comes from the Los Robles estate in the Colchagua Valley. It is an elegant, sophisticated wine known for its tremendous quality and the maximum expression of terrior that results from biodynamic management in the Emiliana vineyards and a careful selection of the best grapes of the vintage.
Gê has received major national and international recognition from its inception. Its inaugural vintage (2003) received 92 points in Wine Spectator magazine, and the February 2009 issue of the same publication ranked the 2005 vintage at 93 points.
This article of the La CAV magazine dedicated to Gê confirms Emiliana’s leadership and vision in making excellent quality wines using sustainable, organic, and biodynamic production processes, which stem from the winery’s great sense of social and environmental concern.
