Coyam 2007: Best Red Blend of Chile

Coyam, one of the icon wines of Emiliana Vineyards, was recognized as the Best Red Blend of Chile.

Recently, at the Wine Tasting Round Table held by LA CAV (Wine Lover’s Club) in January of this year, Coyam 2007 received 92 points, standing out from other mixed reds. Recommended for storage, this wine was described as having a pleasant balance between volume and equilibrium in the mouth, excellent body, round and gentle tannins, and a long finish, showing its character and personality.

Coyam 2007, the second certified biodynamic wine of Chile, faithfully portrays its terroir: the Los Robles vineyard, located in the Colchagua Valley. Aged for 13 months, its intense red-violet color expresses a harmony between ripe black fruits, berries, cassis and fruits of the forest, delicately blending with wood, and including soft notes of minerals, toffee and chocolate.

Certified by Demeter International (Germany), this wine is a blend of 38% Syrah, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Carménère, 17 % Merlot, 2 % Petit Verdot and 1 % Mourvedre.

Coyam 2007 faithfully represents the consolidation and evolution shown by Viñedos Emiliana over the last eleven years. A leader in organic and biodynamic agriculture in Chile, Emiliana currently has 1,200 hectares of organic and biodynamic vineyards, where flowers, native vegetation, animals and a great degree of biodiversity can all be observed.
