Emiliana

Santiago, 4 March-In a one-hour visit to Emiliana in Casablanca, the Prince of Wales and his wife gave significant support to organic producers and organic agriculture in general, by means of a meeting with all the leaders of this activity in Chile.

Viñedos Emiliana was selected for this visit, since it is the number one wine producer of organic and biodynamic grapes in Chile and the world.

In the occasion, Rafael Guilisasti, General Manager for Viñedos Emiliana, personally received His and Her Royal Highness and showed them part of the 1,200 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vines. Additionally, he invited them to taste a selection of the best wines from the winery, together with other organic products.

The Duchess of Cornwall participated in a private wine tasting in her honour, which also had the participation of Lucia Santa Cruz and Patricia Walker. At the end of the event, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall received each a present consisting of a case made from sustainable wood with a G wine, a Coyam wine, and a mixture of organic products from the producers present in the meeting (tea, dry fruit, cream, among other products).
